My oh my

Curled up in my sheets as i write this, i recap on the day...
Waking up sick, I hurried to get ready. Combing out my hair, I realized there wasn't much use...my face had "sick" written all over it. Rushing to brush my teeth and put on my shoes at the same time, I had two minutes to make the bus. Everyone seemed gloomy. I sat down and looked outside hoping for some sort of excitement but all I could see was rain. Mixed with the dirt on the window, the rain made streaks all the way down never stopping, touching the bottom of the bus it seemed. I watched as one drop slid into another making the biggest rain drop i'd ever seen. My concentration was broken by the sound of arrival times over the intercom..."RALEY HALL TRAFFIC CIRCLE," that was me. I stood up, pulling down my dress and headed to class. From there, things got worse. Not only did the rain continue, but it continued much much harder. Grabbing the bus to get back to my room, I fought my way to a seat. Being lucky enough to have a seat, I watched as person by person was forced to stand in the isles. The old man of a driver took off, not bothering to notice the swarm of people standing...everyone swayed to one side. One girl fell backwards...holding a load of books and a book-bag that looked around thirty pounds. She shifted towards the guy behind her. Apologizing, she smiled a small "sorry" and looked at me. I tired to make her feel better by telling her about my experience last week in the isle. Again with a slight smile, she didn't seem to care much. My big smile faded into a stare and my eyes wondered back towards the rain outside. We arrived at app heights and as the doors opened, I saw the rain rushing inside the bus. Stepping off while trying to hold my keys, put up my hood, and open my umbrella was a challenge. Turns out I didn't even need to try. Just like in the movies my umbrella was taken away by the wind, completely broken. It now lies in the trash by my door. I was soaked from head to toe. Letting out a huge cough, I just waited to be bombarded with something worse then rain. Perhaps a tornado would come swirling by and rip apart my books. I came inside rushing to get changed and get started on paperwork due by 6. I left a trail of clothing on the floor, shoes...shirt...pants...then socks. It made my room appear even more dirty then it is. Although I did have an awful day, I know tomorrow will be better. Despite the fact I have no Tylenol, I can always sleep it off:) So there it is, my Monday ... next week, we'll be better friends.
